 The two most important things to remember when using One-Step Crackle: 1. Do not overwork. Apply a generous coat and leave it alone. It will self-level and crackle. (If you brush back and forth too much or try to brush it out smoothly like you would a varnish, it may not crackle at all.) 2. Apply over a painted or sealed surface. Weathered Wood is a crackling medium which, when used with Americana Acrylics or Crafter's Acrylic, will achieve an aged, cracked, antiqued or distressed wood finish on most hard craft surfaces. Additional Decorating Ideas/Applications: How To Apply: Apply an acrylic paint basecoat color of your chocie. Let Dry. Brush on one even coat of Americana Weathered Wood - do not over stroke. Let Dry. Apply contrasting top coat of acrylic paint over Americana Weathered Wood. Missed areas may be touched up immediately. When using Weathered Wood, the thickness of the top coat will directly affect the size of the crackled finish. The heavier the top coat, the larger the cracks. Crackle Paint is a transparent paint that crackles as it dries and creates an eggshell cracking pattern in just one step. Apply Crackle Paint to any porous or semi-porous surface. Water based product which allows to transfer any printed image. Especially effective with the special Transfer Paper, can be used to transfer Classic decoupage paper and Rice Paper. Rice Paper Napkin is not transferable because of its lightness.<br />You can transfer images taken from newspapers and magazines, drawings hand made and printed by computer, but it is strongly recommended to carry out a photocopy with laser printer on white paper 80 g/m² to prevent transfer issues due to chemicals of various types of paper.<br />The technique can be applied to any type of surface, both glossy and matte, preferably with a light background. For a good result it's important to distribute a good amount of product, wait for the time necessary to allow the gel to absorb the image and be very delicate when removing moistened paper in excess. Do not use the hair dryer to reduce the drying time.<p>How to use:<br />- cut out leaving one millimeter of paper all around the subject<br />- apply the gel on the printed side of the paper<br />- adhere the image to the surface to be decorated and wait for the product drying<br />- wait at least half an hour before you pour water with a brush on the back of the paper<br />- with slight movements rub with fingertips or even with a brush and remove the paper, leaving on the surface only the transferred image<br />- If used in combination with decoupage or painting, protect the work with normal glossy or matte Finish water based.</p><p>Instructions for use on glass or plexiglass:<br />- degrease the surface - distribute the gel on the printed side of the paper<br />- quickly adhere the image to the glass, pressing from the center to the outside<br />- clean with a damp cloth any excess gel to avoid streaks on the glass<br />- wait at least an hour to allow the gel to adhere to the glass then proceed gently to remove the white paper, wetting with water without scratching - protect with Finish Wash it. </p> Water based product which allows to transfer any printed image.
